These are among the words we have studied together in class and have worked with. Reivew these words with your child and make sure they stay fresh in their mind!
If these words are too easy try talking about extensions of the listed words. For instance, which words could you add -s to? Does it change the word? Will it create a new word? This type of word work is good for growth and development in their reading. You could also try adding -ing or -ed!

Stir a Bowl of Gingerbread
To the tune of Pat-a-cake, Pat-a-cake
Stir a bowl of gingerbread smooth and spicy brown,
Roll it with a rolling pin up and up and down,
With a cookie cutter, make some little men,
And put it in the oven 'til half past ten
Kindergarten used this song during our studies of all these gingerbread man! We examined many different versions of the story and compared their characters, settings, and endings! We used the words in the song to discuss adjectives, nouns and pro-nouns.
